The country of Haiti which borders the Dominican Republic, is the most impoverished nation in the world. A combination of natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes etc.) along with a broken system has contributed to 10’s of thousands of Haitian immigrants escaping into the Dominican Republic for refuge and the hope of a better life. This situation has led to a daily struggle for survival for many children, both Dominican and Haitian. As parents look for work, they find the only work available is difficult, sometimes dangerous, and not adequate to provide food and shelter. Many children survive without daily food, water, medical care, and safety. They are unable to attend school due to poverty and disparity, leaving them illiterate and vulnerable. These children are at risk of being victimized and trafficked; crimes against them can go unpunished. Many wander the streets ignorant of their worth and value. With no hope!

Our Work in the Dominican Republic
Our mission works alongside the local Christian church and is in the Alta Gracia Province on the eastern side of the Dominican Republic. Many roads are not paved, and many homes are without electricity and running water. Due to extreme poverty, countless children experience hunger and the lack of clean water, medical care, and education.
Our vision is to be a beacon of hope in the community. By providing a meal, life skills education, bible teaching, and a community of love and support; children will experience hope and purpose.
Be the Hope for a Desperate Child! Together we can make a difference, 1 child at a time.
Will you join us in changing a child’s life?
This is an opportunity to communicate through letters and photos and make a significant difference in a life.
Together we can make a difference, one child at a time.
